Alison and Michel welcome you the Frog and Kiwi bed and breakfast Lodge located in the Brynderwyn's in Waipu the gateway to Northland, extensive views of magnificent Bream Bay and Whangarei Heads. 10 minutes to the Waipu Cove and Langs beaches .Close to the historic Waipu village. We offer superior accommodation with panoramic sea views. 2 rooms are in the 1906 kauri villa, both ensuites with king size beds. 1 bedroom is in the self contained cottage with king size bed, ensuite and kitchen. Enjoy the comfortable lounge with tea and coffee available, relax on the covered deck reading a book enjoying the spectacular view. The 14 metre heated pool in the middle of the native bush offers privacy, peace and tranquility. We can organise day trips for you to Bay of islands or visit Kaipara harbour and the world famous kauri forest on the west coast. If you enjoy golf we have two great links golf courses in Waipu and Mangawhai. Evening dinner is available at the lodge cooked by your host (trained chef), or you can go to the Pizza Barn in Waipu for a friendly and casual meal and in Mangawhai in the award-winning Frog and Kiwi restaurant

Alison and Michel are a New Zealand and French couple (frog and kiwi). After 15 years in France and Europe, we came back in 2004 to create the Frog and Kiwi restaurant in Mangawhai and now launch our new project the Frog and Kiwi lodge in Waipu.

The 1906 Kauri villa completely renovated, keeping the charm of the era. You will stay in one of the two bedrooms of the house. The main body of the house also includes the dining room and two lounges (a TV lounge and lounge relaxation) at your disposal.You will have in the lobby a common fridge for both bedrooms and everything to make your coffee or tea. Both rooms have a view of the ocean and hilly meadows. Are each equipped with bathroom with shower and toilet, a small desk and television. You can enjoy the large terrace equipped with an outdoor lounge or private table in front of your room.

At 100m from the main building, you will stay in a single storey cottage with large bedroom and bathroom with shower, as well as an open space living room with a fully equipped kitchen. Televisions in the bedroom and living room. The bedroom and the living room overlooks a private terrace with views of the ocean. The cottage offers you the flexibility to be independent by doing your own cooking, or you can choose to enjoy breakfast or dinner in the villa. The cottage has its own independent entrance.
